Off to St. Louis

We're on the road this morning on our way to St. Louis. It's about 420 miles on Interstate 70 West.  We'll actually be on I-70 until we get to Denver later this week.

To break up the long drive west, we'll stay in St. Louis for two nights, which will give us a day and a half to see some sights.  We visited St. Louis during our first motorhome trip in 2009 and really enjoyed it.  Since we've already seen the St. Louis Arch and Westward Expansion museum, this time we might check out the zoo and the science center, or take the Anheuser Busch Brewery tour.  A few people recommended the Botanic Gardens, but I'm not sure I can rally the troops for that.  We'll see.  I'd like to stop by the Catholic Basilica in St. Louis to see the mosaics - on various websites I visited to find things to do, seeing the artwork of the mosaics in the Basilica was near the top of the list every time.

Today's drive will take us by Dayton, Ohio and through Indianapolis, Indiana and Illinois.  It's a cloudy day, and not too hot yet.  Hopefully it stays that way.

We'll pick up an hour passing into the Central Time Zone, and our GPS says we'll get to our campground around 2:30 p.m. barring any road construction or traffic along the way.
